LAS VEGAS (Oct. 30, 2022) – Erica Enders clinched her fifth Pro Stock world championship on Sunday, racing to her 10th victory of the season at the 22nd annual NHRA Nevada Nationals to cap off a dream weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Matt Hagan (Funny Car) and Hector Arana Jr. (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won at the 21st event in the 2022 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season and the fifth of six races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

In the final round, Enders knocked off teammate Troy Coughlin Jr. with a run of 6.640-seconds at 206.86 mph in her Melling Performance/Elite Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro to collect her ninth Las Vegas win, which is the most for any professional driver in NHRA history. She clinched her fifth world title a round earlier with a pass of 6.639 at 206.67

Jeep’s global boss says the upcoming electric Recon SUV won’t threaten the Wrangler, which will remain the brand’s pre-eminent off-roader even when it goes electric.

“I think the two products are going to be very complementary,” Jeep CEO Christian Meunier told Motor Trend, affirming the Recon isn’t a replacement for the Wrangler.

“We believe there is huge potential for the two to co-exist for a period of time but over time there will be a Wrangler BEV as well.

“The Wrangler is the king, trail-rated 10, the best in class, the king of the hill. The Recon is going to be a very good contender, but it is not going to be as good.”

It’s unclear when the mooted Wrangler EV will be launched. Earlier this year, Jeep executives said plans for an electric Wrangler weren’t in place yet but that this year’s Magneto concept was “kind

Will It Run After Decades? CRUSHED & SEIZED Dodge Charger

We’ve seen a ton of “Will It Run?” videos of rough looking cars, but I think this one from Dillan takes the cake. I mean look at this poor thing. This has to be one of the saddest looking Chargers in history. It is bashed, smashed, and crushed and yet Dillan thinks it might live long enough to have some fun with it. What do you think?

Video Description:

This is probably the roughest Charger you’ll ever come across, yet for some reason I want to make it run! This one is definitely going to be a challenge since it’s completely locked up and flattened like a pancake. Think it’ll run? Stick around to find out.

In the mood for a scary story today?

Well, something truly terrifying happened as we spotted this particular two-seater at last summer’s Summit Racing Goodguys Nationals.

It has a rear/side profile that mimics something from Stuttgart and the front end is reminiscent of maybe a Nissan Skyline or Toyota Sunchaser.

But yet, there was something oddly familiar about this drop-top coupe.

Heck, those fender bulges are even giving us some BMW E30 vibes here. (Image/OnAllCylinders)

It wasn’t until we noticed the windshield decal that things started to make a bit more sense.

We were staring at an uber-rare ASC/McLaren SC 5.0.

All 2023 Mazda CX-5 models will come standard with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen and two front USB-C outlets, with most also getting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

We’ve contacted Mazda to confirm when the updated range will arrive in Australia, though the company has revealed running changes to its CX-5 each year towards the end of the year and then launched them locally at the beginning of the following year.

The 2023 running changes will see the Japanese brand’s newer Mazda Connect system become standard on all CX-5 models, relegating the old 8.0-inch MZD Connect touchscreen infotainment system to the bin.

In the 2022 range, only the GT SP and Akera received the 10.25-inch system.

All models bar the base Maxx feature wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and satellite navigation.

In its 2023 brochure, however, Mazda has flagged Android Auto will be temporarily unavailable for Maxx and Maxx
